Here is a demo of the PERSONAGE language generator for information presentation in the restaurant domain. PERSONAGE can produce utterances expressing various personality types on a continuous scale. You can compare and recommend restaurants in New York City, and vary the extraversion parameter to produce a new output utterance. You can also observe the effects of the variation of personality on PERSONAGE's parameters. Generation parameters are based on psycholinguistic findings associating personality traits with language, while models of the effect of personality on the generation parameters was computed from human personality judgements. You can find more details and an evaluation of PERSONAGE in this paper. The applet requires the Java runtime environment 5.0 or later.
